HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Auburn University at Montgomery Women's Basketball (5-9, 3-6) fell on the road against a tough Alabama Huntsville team (13-3, 8-2) 49-89.
The Warhawks had just one scorer in double-figures.
Samya Brooks totaled 10 points on 4-8 shooting. As a team, AUM shot 40% from the field and 13% from behind the arc. UAH hit 153-pointers in the ballgame while shooting 55%.
AUM trailed 26-13 after the first quarter after UAH opened with six made threes. The Warhawks continued to struggle headed into halftime down 46-24 after nine 3-pointers were allowed.
UAH would stretch the lead in the third quarter and outscore AUM 32-13 in the quarter. They hit six more 3-pointers and shot 6-7 from three.
The Warhawks trailed ever since the 2:56 mark in the opening quarter to drop Sunday's game on the road at Alabama Huntsville 89-49.
AUM will host West Florida on Thursday for a 5:30 p.m. CT tipoff.
