Troy, Ala. - The Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team opened up the 2025 season with an exhibition match at Troy on Friday that resulted in a 4-2 loss in match one and a 7-0 loss in match two.
DOUBLES
- AUM won the first doubles action but would fall in doubles 1-2 and allow Troy to take the point in match one this morning.
- The team of Jami Savolainen and Guiseppe Bonaiuti won 6-3.
- In match two later in the afternoon, AUM was swept to give Troy the doubles point.
SINGLES
- The Warhawks fell 4-2 overall in singles matches in match one.
- Giuseppe Bonaiuti was able to pull off the victory 10-8 for the Warhawks.
- Jami Savolainen won in two sets after defeating Troy's, Drozdowski 6-2 and 6-1.
- In match two, the Warhawks were without a win.

AUM will compete against Middle Georgia for another exhibition at home on Sunday, Jan. 26 starting at 1 p.m. CT.
