#21 Argonauts Ground Warhawks 1-0

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's soccer team (4-3-3, GSC: 1-2-2) fell 1-0 to the University of West Florida Argonauts (7-1-2, GSC: 4-0-1) on Friday night in Gulf South Conference action at the AUM Soccer Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half

Neither team mustered much offensively in the opening 45 minutes of action until the Argonauts struck first in the final minute of the first half.
 
Nikolas Alzate's first goal of the season put the visitors on the scoreboard in the 45th minute as he converted the final shot of the half into a 1-0 lead for UWF.
 
The Warhawks took six first-half shots, all in the first 19 minutes of the match, to four from the Argonauts.
 
Mikayil Bacar Said had a shot saved, Alan De Paula had a pair of shots slip high, and Noah Fernandes and Alexander Carey had shots blocked in the first half. 
 
Second Half
West Florida's offense found some rhythm in the second half to the tune of eight shots, including two on target. 
 
Saves from AUM goalkeeper Brock Marlow in the 54th minute and the 78th minute kept the Warhawks within a goal, but AUM's biggest chance missed left off the foot of Benjamin Hoffman in the 88th minute.

- The Argonauts took 12 shots in the match, while the Warhawks managed eight.
- Brock Marlow made a pair of saves in goal for AUM.
