MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Sophomore Mckenzie David of the Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks women's cross country team has been named Warhawk of the Week as announced by the AUM Athletics Department on Wednesday afternoon.
 
MCKENZIE'S MARK
David helped guide Auburn University at Montgomery to a sixth-place team finish in the 6K event at the GSC Championship, hosted by Christian Brothers. The meet featured all 12 conference programs and nearly 100 individual competitors. The sophomore led the pack for the Warhawks, clocking a personal-best time of 22:22.5 to place 30th overall. Her performance also etched her name in the program record book as AUM's third-fastest 6K finish on the women's side.
 
DAVID'S DASH
During her sophomore campaign, David has competed in all five of AUM's races. In addition to her new personal best from the GSC Championship, she also recorded a 5K PR of 19:07.4 with a ninth-place finish at the Falcon Classic Twilight, hosted by Montevallo. David has proven to be one of the strongest competitors in the GSC and looks to continue her impressive season at the NCAA South Regionals next weekend.
