LAKELAND, Fla. – The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks women's cross-country team closed out the season on Saturday morning, coming in a record setting 10th place at the NCAA Division II South Regional Championship. The 6K event was hosted at Holloway Park by Florida Southern University and featured all 20 teams from the region.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The sophomore duo of
Emma McGee (23:11.55) and
Mckenzie David (23:12.64) led the way for AUM on Saturday, ending the day in 44th and 45th place respectively. Junior
Adley Burkes was the next Warhawk to cross the finish, doing so with a time of 23:37.57.

Railey Prins came in 74th with a mark of 24:19.85, while senior
Franziska Dempwolf (24:51.10) rounded out the scoring for the Warhawks in 89th.

As a team, the Warhawks combined for a score of 303, landing them in the top 10 at regionals for the first time in program history.

Palm Beach Atlantic snagged the team title with four top-20 finishers, while Mississippi College's Lauren Wallace (21:18.27) picked up the individual crown.Â
