Box Score HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's soccer team (4-2-3, GSC: 1-1-2) fell 2-1 to the University of Alabama in Huntsville (5-1-2, GSC: 2-1-1) on Sunday afternoon in Gulf South Conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
The Chargers wasted no time getting the scoring started as they stormed to the first lead of the afternoon.

Oli Orzechowski's goal in the seventh minute of action pushed the home team to an early 1-0 advantage.

AUM's best chances to tie the game came on a series of shots late in the first half.Â

Benjamin Hoffmann had a shot blocked in the 33rd minute,
Jonas Gunther fired a shot that hit the post in the 36th minute, and
Noah Fernandes had his shot saved in the 40th minuteÂ

The Chargers managed just two first half shots, but Orzechowski's goal was the difference through the first half of action.

Second Half
UAH iced the match in the 69th minute when Phillip Seifert snuck a shot past the AUM defense to extend the Charger lead to 2-0. The shot was UAH's lone shot of the second half.

The Warhawks found a quick answer in the 74th minute thanks to a goal from
Jamie Ward, his first of the year, but were unable to find a late equalizer.

AUM managed four shots in the closing five minutes, but three misses and a UAH save preserved a 2-1 win for the Chargers.

NOTABLES
The Warhawks held a lopsided advantage in the shots column, as AUM held a 15-3 advantage in that category. Six of AUM's shots came on goal, while UAH turned in just two.
