MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks volleyball team (3-21, GSC: 2-14) suffered a straight-set loss to the No. 21 University of West Florida (21-5, GSC: 14-2), Wednesday night from the AUM Athletics Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
Despite the Warhawks making it a 5-4 deficit early on a
Jaslyn Montgomery kill and assisted block from Montgomery and
Emily Brown, the Argos went on a 12-2 run to swell the lead to 17-6.Â

AUM did have five straight points to cut the score to 18-12, but UWF went on a 7-3 run to take the opener, 25-15.Â

Set 2
Set two was a similar story for West Florida, as they got out to a 5-1 lead early in the set.Â

Addi Vinson and
Courtney Joseph assisted for a block to make it 12-7, but the Argos ended the set on a 13-7 run to win set two, 25-14.Â

Set 3
The Warhawks saw a Joseph kill to made it an 8-5 deficit early, and later, a quick 4-0 run made it a 13-11 deficit.Â

Kiara Vega and a
Anyaliz Rodriguez and Montgomery assisted block kept the Warhawks in it.Â
Â
However, the Argos used an 8-1 run late in the set to win the final frame 25-15.Â

UP NEXT
The Warhawks will hit the road again this weekend to take on Lee on Friday night from Cleveland, Tennessee.Â
