HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
TNU cruised out to a 14-3 lead thanks to a 7-0 run by the Trojans that saw Emma Schnitzer record three kills during the rally.

Routing the Warhawks 25-11 in the first frame, the Trojans had the advantage in kills, 15-3, as TNU hit .440 in the opener.

Set 2
Trevecca continued its dominance into the second set with a 7-4 lead early. However, AUM began to chip away. Trailing 9-6, the Warhawks used a 7-0 run thanks to two blocks and a Taylor Lewis ace to take the 12-9 lead.

Despite the Trojans retaking the lead later, the Warhawks rallied from a 21-18 deficit to take a 23-22 lead after back-to-back blocks at the net. Salome De Jesus De La Torres and Jaslyn Montgomery teamed up for the first rejection to tie the set at 22.

On the next point, Montgomery and Anyaliz Rodriguez stopped the ensuing attack to take the 23-22 lead.

A couple of points later, a Rodriguez spike gave the Warhawks set point, 24-22, but the Trojans forced "lingering death" with back-to-back points.

Tied at 26, it was TNU that won the final two points on a service error and a Mackenzie Martin kill to see the Trojans go up 2-0 with the 28-26 set two win.

Set 3
AUM came out strong in set three with kills from Rodriguez, Addi Vinson and Kendall McCain to take an early 6-1 lead.

After Trevecca scored on back-to-back blocks to make it a 13-10 deficit, a quick 4-1 run by AUM increased the lead to 17-11 thanks to two straight attack errors by the Trojans.

After a Trojan timeout, the home squad came out swinging with four kills in an 8-2 run to tie the set at 19.

The Warhawks were able to restore order with a kill by Montgomery to lead 23-21, but a quick 3-0 run by the Trojans gave them match point, 24-23.

On the next rally, AUM earned the side out thanks to a service error to even the score at 24 and force the set to be won by two again.

It did not take long in set three compared to set two, as a Kaitlyn Grant kill and an assisted block from Grant and Martin ended the set, 26-24, and gave the Trojans the sweep.
