MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Freshman guard Devin Barksdale of the Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's basketball team has been named Warhawk of the Week as announced by the AUM Athletics Department on Thursday afternoon.
 
DEADEYE DEVIN
Over two competitions last week, Barksdale logged 34 minutes of work and scored a team-high 41 points. He finished with an efficient 14-for-20 from the field, shooting 70 percent to lead all Warhawks scorers. The Alabama native was also lights out from beyond the arc, knocking down 9-of-12 three-pointers (75 percent). He also went 4-for-6 at the charity stripe and added four rebounds and three steals to cap off his impressive week.
 
BLAZIN' BARKSDALE
Through his freshman campaign, Barksdale has appeared in all six games, logging nearly 100 minutes of action. He has been efficient from the floor, shooting 17-of-33 (51.5 percent) and proving to be one of the Warhawks' top long-range threats, hitting 11-of-22 from three-point range (50 percent). Overall, he has contributed 49 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and six steals, showcasing his all-around impact on the court.
