MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Auburn University at Montgomery Women's Basketball (11-12, 9-9) won at Montevallo on Saturday 62-58 after
Allasha Dudley sealed the game with the late layup.
Dudley forced a steal as the game was tied at 57 and took it all way for a fastbreak layup to win the game for AUM.
The senior totaled 18 points with five steals. Her 1,519 career points are fifth all-time in AUM women's basketball program history.
Carrington Jones also added 22 points for a new career-high for the freshman out of Bartlett, Tenn.
The Warhawks fell behind early with a low scoring first quarter just 12-7 in favor of Montevallo. AUM shot 3-17 from the field at just 17% in the quarter.
AUM got hot to open the second quarter with a 10-0 run. The Warhawks outscored the Falcons 13-12 but trailed 24-20 at the half.
The third quarter was all AUM as they came back to outscore Montevallo 26-14 in the quarter and control the lead headed into the final 10 minutes.
The Warhawks completed the comeback to improve to .500 in the GSC standings with a win on the road at Montevallo.
