MONTGOMERY, Ala. – No. 2 Auburn University at Montgomery Softball (10-3, 5-1) won both games on Saturday against West Alabama (11-6. 4-2).
 
AUM won the first game of Saturday's doubleheader 7-3 and outhit West Alabama 11-4.
 
Reese Cauley tossed a shutout and added four RBI at the plate in game two on Saturday to give AUM the series.
 
Game 1 – AUM 7, West Alabama 3
 
Chelisa Newsome improved to 4-1 in the circle on the year and threw a complete game with six strikeouts. 
 
Jasmine Sneed recorded her first career homerun for the first run of the game in the second inning. 
 
Rebecca Komers homered as well in the fifth inning, and she led AUM with three RBI.
 
The Warhawks jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the sixth before West Alabama got on the board in the bottom half of the inning. 
 
AUM's lead was too much for West Alabama to overcome to even the series going into the finale. 
 
Game 2 – AUM 7, West Alabama 3
 
Cauley started in the circle in the series finale to get her sixth win of the season. She tossed a complete game with six strikeouts. 
 
The Warhawks got out to a three-run lead with three in the first. They extended it to a five-run lead in the fifth inning as well.  
 
Cauley also added four RBI at the plate and a homerun to give AUM the 6-0, shutout victory.

The Warhawks will return for a midweek doubleheader on Tuesday, February 25 against Georgia Southwestern.
