Chappelle Whitney scored 24 points to lead the AUM men's basketball team in an 84-83 season-ending loss to West Florida at the UWF Field House on Saturday.
AUM ended the season with a 9-18 overall record and in a tie for tenth place at 6-16.
Trent Coleman had 20 points with four 3-pointers and a game-high 13 rebounds.

AUM shot 52 percent but was undone by 13 3-pointers from UWF, including seven from Ryan Payne on his way to 24 points.
The evenly-matched teams played tight for much of the contest. Neither team led by more than five points in the first 13 minutes before a 10-0 UWF run saw the home team pull ahead 40-34. The Argonauts led 51-44 at the half after a Payne triple just before the horn.
AUM went ahead 78-74 with 6:19 to play on a Coleman 3-pointer. The Warhawks led 83-80 with just over a minute remaining when Le'Tarion White made a layup for UWF. Whitney missed a 3-pointer and UWF got the rebound with 32 seconds left. White made a step back 14-footer to give UWF the lead with 10 seconds on the clock.
With fouls to give, UWF fouled AUM with eight seconds to go. The Warhawks ran a play in the final seconds but were unable to get a shot off before time expired.
