CLINTON, Miss. – No. 2 Auburn University at Montgomery Softball (15-6, 8-4) dropped the series finale at Mississippi College 5-0 on Saturday.

The Warhawks dropped the first GSC conference series of the season.

Sydni Free started her second game of the series against Mississippi College. She tossed 3.1 inning in the series finale today.

The Choctaws took the lead early with a run in the second inning. They would add three more to extend the lead out to 4-0 in the third after leading off with three consecutive hits. In the inning they scored three runs on three hits and an error on the AUM defense. 

Avery Dickerson took over for Free in the fourth inning. She went 2.2 innings for AUM.

Mississippi College would add another in the fifth to go up five over the Warhawks in the series finale.

AUM wasn't able to get any momentum offensively and went scoreless in the series finale. The series at Mississippi College is the first GSC conference series loss for the Warhawks this season.
