BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Three AUM student-athletes were named to the Gulf South Conference Spring All-Academic Teams as announced by the league on Thursday. Additionally, a total of 63 Warhawks were name to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Chelisa Newsome were voted onto the All-Academic teams in the respective sports.
The Warhawks had 33 baseball student-athletes, 18 from softball, seven from men's tennis and eight from women's tennis achieve a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or better at the end of the spring semester.
Bonaiuti was a first-team all-GSC selection on the court in 2025 where he went 10-6 in both singles and doubles playing at the number one position for the majority of the season. The junior from Rome, Italy has a 3.66 GPA in marketing.
Baynes was a First Team All-Region and All-GSC performer this season, hitting .373 with 59 hits, 49 runs and 21 RBI. She became the program's career leader in batting average, on-base percentage and hits late in just her third season at AUM. The Tallassee, Alabama product carries a 3.74 GPA in communication disorders.
Newsome finished her sophomore year at AUM by earning Second Team All-Region and All-GSC accolades by going 16-6 in the circle with a 1.74 earned run average. She is an accounting major from Robertsdale, Alabama with a 3.91 GPA.
- 1,190 total spring student-athletes were named to the Academic Honor and 88 student-athletes earned GSC All-Academic Team accolades.
- Sport Breakdown: Baseball led all represented sports with 297 honor roll names, softball (213), men's track & field (161), women track & field (124), and women's lacrosse (110) comprised the top five.
- Making the Grade: 107 student-athletes named to the honor list had an undergrad GPA of 4.00. In addition, 667 posted a 3.50 or better, and 367 had a 3.75 or better.
- Honor Roll Centurions: Three schools had at least 100 student-athletes on the honor roll list—Montevallo (159), Lee (158), UAH (140).
- All-Academic Breakdown: 12 schools had at least one GSC All-Academic selection.
The GSC Spring Academic Awards are comprised of the following conference-sponsored sports: baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's track and field.
