PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's basketball team (3-13, GSC: 1-9) fell to the West Florida Argonauts (15-3, GSC: 8-2) 101-71 on Thursday evening from the UWF Field House.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
Four tied scores over the first five minutes of play showed the early battle between the Argos and the Warhawks. The back-and-forth battle continued with
Colby Williams scoring six points for AUM and
Jacob St. Clair tying the game at 22 points apiece after a solid three-point bucket.

About halfway through the first half, West Florida began to break away. They scored seven unanswered points to go up 29-22 before St. Clair's jumper ended their run. Not long after, the Warhawks began to rally with a layup from
Omar Zeigler and free throws from C. Williams.

The opponents were able to hold AUM scoreless over the final three and a half minutes while adding 14 points to their total and ending the first half leading 49-33.

Second Half
The Argos scored the first nine points of the second half before
Marius Canery's layup and St. Clair's trey ended their run.

An exchange of points brought the score to 68-48 with just over 10 minutes on the clock.

AUM never gave in, however, a 10-point run helped West Florida pull ahead to secure a 101-71 victory on their home court.

- Colby Williams led the Warhawks with a season high of 22 points while shooting 70 percent (7-of-10) from the field.Â
- Marius Canery recorded his third game of the season with 20 or more points.
- Jacob St. Clair hit 75 percent of his three-point attempts (3-of-4) on his way to 13 points.
- The Warhawks shot 40.7 percent from the field (11-of-26).
- AUM scored 34 points in the paint while UWF took 58.
