BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly women's golf awards, with Auburn University at Montgomery's Ashley Nelson earning GSC Women's Golfer of the Week honors following a career-best performance at the 2026 Converse Fall Invite.

NELSON KNOWS BEST
Nelson earned a share of the individual title at the Converse Fall Invite, tying for first place at even par (216) over three rounds at Woodfin Ridge Golf Club. After opening the tournament with a 76 (+4), Nelson carded a 70 (-2) in the second round to surpass her previous career-low round of 71 (-1). She followed with another 70 (-2) in Tuesday's final round, recording back-to-back career-low rounds to finish even par for the tournament. The individual title marked the best finish of Nelson's career.

Nelson's performance helped lead the Warhawks to a fifth-place finish among 11 teams. AUM posted a three-round total of 950 (+86), including its best round of the tournament with a 313 (+25) in the final round.
