HOW IT HAPPENED
The Young Harris Mountain Lions jumped out quickly, scoring six runs in the opening frame behind a pair of home runs, including a two-run shot from outfielder Keypher Contreras and a three-run blast from Jeo Hernandez. The Mountain Lions added five more runs in the second inning and another three in the third to build an early 14–0 advantage.

AUM got on the board in the fourth inning when first baseman Kyle Hipp crushed a solo home run down the left-field line. The Warhawks followed with an RBI double from John Kiebler to cut into the deficit, with the team down 2-14.

The fifth inning marked the offensive highlight of the day for AUM, as the Warhawks erupted for eight runs. Dom Regira launched a two-run homer to right field, followed immediately by a solo shot from Tucker Burns. Hipp connected for his second home run of the afternoon, a two-run blast to left, before Christopher McNeill capped the inning with a three-run home run, pulling AUM within four at 14–10.

Young Harris responded with runs in the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings. AUM added late offense on an RBI single from Cannon Miller in the eighth and an RBI double by Brice Ainsworth in the ninth. Despite multiple home runs and a strong middle-inning surge, the Warhawks were unable to complete the comeback, falling 18–12 in the series finale.
