MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Sophomore pitcher Reese Cauley of the Auburn University at Montgomery softball team has been named Warhawk of the Week, as announced by the AUM Athletics Department, Tuesday morning.  

Cauley's Week 
Reese Cauley was dominant in the circle during the Columbus State Invitational, earning wins in both of her appearances as the Warhawks shut out Columbus State and Wingate by identical 10–0 scores. Across the two games, Cauley combined to pitch 9.0 innings, allowing just one hit while striking out nine batters and not surrendering a single run. She opened the weekend with a five-inning, five-strikeout performance against Columbus State, followed by four scoreless innings with four strikeouts versus Wingate. Cauley's efficiency and command played a key role in two run-rule victories as AUM continued its strong start to the season. 

Cauley has helped lead the team to start the season ranked No. 1 in the first regular-season poll of the 2026 NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, released earlier today. 

Season Shapshot  
Reese Cauley has been a steady force for AUM's pitching staff. Through four appearances in the circle, Cauley owns a perfect 4-0 record with a. 0.39 ERA, allowing just one earned run across 18.0 innings pitched. She has limited opponents to a .115 batting average while recording 11 strikeouts, including a five-strikeout, hitless outing against Columbus State. At the plate, Cauley has contributed offensively as well, batting .333 with three hits and an RBI, while remaining flawless defensively with a 1.000 fielding percentage.  

Her all-around performance has helped set the tone for a dominant start to the season for the nation's top-ranked Warhawks.
