LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's baseball team (5-21, GSC: 3-17) lost to the No. 13 West Alabama Tigers (24-3, GSC: 19-2) with a final score of 103-65.

West Alabama claimed the GSC regular season title on Wednesday after defeating Montevallo by 12 points. The Tigers were tabbed 13th in the most recent NABC Division II national coaches poll.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
Jamarious Martin and
Ti'Avian Scruggs added buckets early in the game, however, 10 points from the other side gave West Alabama an early lead. Scruggs followed with a triple, but the Tigers responded with a three of its own.

Over the next few minutes, UWA extended its lead to 34-17 with under five minutes remaining in the first half.

Elhadji Thiam added six points for the Warhawks before the horn; however, the Tigers held a 40-25 lead at the halftime break.

Second Half
Despite a Scruggs' three-point dagger, West Alabama extended its lead to 47-28 early in the second half.

With the Warhawks trailing 59-39, the Tigers scored seven consecutive points to increase its lead to 66-39.

After an exchange of points, the home team scored nine of the next 14 points, resulting in a final score of 103-65.
