LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The No. 45 Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's tennis team (4-8, GSC: 1-1) fell just short in its conference road match against the No. 31 West Alabama Tigers (6-3, GSC: 1-1) on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles
The Tigers took the doubles point with a pair of 6-1 wins at the No. 2 and 3 positions. Jami Savolainen and Giuseppe Bonaiuti picked up a victory at the No. 1 slot, taking down West Alabama's Gabriel Garay and Sebastiao Vilas 6-3.

Singles
Mark Nawa put the Warhawks on the board in singles play behind his 6-3, 6-1 straight-sets win over the Tigers' Sebastiao at the No. 6 position. UWA regained a 2-1 lead after taking the No. 5 singles match; however, Guillermo Vedia Sanchez's 6-2, 6-3 victory over the home team's Afonso Portugal at the No. 3 slot tied it back up at 2-2.

West Alabama's Gabriel Garay and Maskim Goncharov took the next pair of singles wins to win the race to the four-point mark.

Savolainen rounded out the scoring with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 comeback win at the No. 1 position over the Tigers' Jacob Tapia.
