HOW IT HAPPENED
Mississippi College and AUM traded scoreless innings to begin the game, as Reese Cauley retired the Choctaws in order in the first and worked around a hit-by-pitch in the second to keep Mississippi College off the board.

Both teams were held quiet in the third, and Cauley continued to keep the Choctaw lineup in check, allowing just one hit through the first four innings.
AUM added to its advantage in the bottom of the fourth after short stop Rebecca Komers singled up the middle and catcher Gracie Suggs followed with a single to put two runners on base.
After both runners moved into scoring position, Karris Rhine delivered a double to left center that brought home Komers and Suggs to extend the Warhawk lead to 3–0.
Mississippi College threatened in the sixth inning with back-to-back singles from center fielder Shelby Samples and third baseman Madelyn England, but Cauley escaped the jam with a flyout to right field to keep the shutout intact.
The Choctaws put one runner in scoring position again in the seventh following a double from Megan Matheis, but Cauley closed out the game with three consecutive strikeouts to secure the 3–0 victory and the series win for the Warhawks.
