LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its Division II All-Region teams, Friday afternoon, with three Auburn University at Montgomery softball student-athletes earning First Team South Region recognition. Senior outfielder Chloe Baynes, sophomore pitcher Reese Cauley and senior shortstop Rebecca Komers each collected the honor.
The trio enters NCAA postseason play after also earning First Team All-GSC honors, while Baynes was named the 2026 GSC Player of the Year and Cauley claimed GSC Pitcher of the Year recognition. Baynes and Komers additionally secured spots on the 2026 GSC Golden Glove Team.
Chloe Baynes | Outfielder | Senior
Baynes continues to build one of the most decorated careers in program history after starting all 50 contests in center field for the Warhawks this season. The senior leads the Gulf South Conference in batting average (.449), hits (75) and stolen bases (47), while ranking among the league leaders in on-base percentage (.523), runs scored (54), triples (5) and walks (26).
A 2026 GSC Player of the Year selection, Baynes became the first Warhawk in program history to surpass 300 career hits this season while also breaking AUM's career records for hits and stolen bases. The senior enters postseason play on pace to challenge the GSC's all-time career hits record. Defensively, Baynes posted a .970 fielding percentage with 95 putouts while patrolling center field in all 50 games.
Earlier this season, Baynes earned GSC Player of the Week honors and was named to the 2026 NFCA Division II Player of the Year Watch List.

Reese Cauley | Pitcher | Sophomore
One of the top pitchers in Division II softball this season, Cauley earned GSC Pitcher of the Year honors after compiling a 28-3 record with a 1.67 ERA across 201.1 innings pitched. The sophomore struck out 171 batters while limiting opponents to a .188 batting average and tossed multiple shutouts throughout the year.
Cauley started 31 games inside the circle and surpassed 200 innings pitched while helping lead the Warhawks to both regular season and postseason success.
She also contributed offensively, batting .262 with six home runs, 23 RBI and a .466 slugging percentage while splitting time between pitcher and designated player. Cauley produced 27 hits and recorded multiple key performances at the plate in addition to her dominance in the circle.

Rebecca Komers | Shortstop | Senior
Komers earned First Team All-Region recognition following another standout campaign as the anchor of Auburn Montgomery's infield. Starting all 50 games at shortstop, the senior hit .375 with 57 hits, 13 doubles, five home runs and 43 RBI.
Her 43 RBIs tied for fifth in the Gulf South Conference, while her five sacrifice flies tied for the league lead. Komers added 37 runs scored and 21 stolen bases, with a .586 slugging percentage and 1.011 OPS.
Defensively, Komers remained one of the conference's top shortstops, recording 115 assists and a .962 fielding percentage en route to earning a spot on the 2026 GSC Golden Glove Team.
