Auburn University at Montgomery Athletics

MOBILE, Ala. – The No. 10 Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's soccer team (5-1-0, GSC: 2-0-0) earned its second Gulf South Conference win of the season, taking down the Spring Hill Badgers (0-3-1, GSC: 0-2-0) 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

"Three points at a very tough place to win is always a big positive. We got many lads in today and this shows the quality of our depth. A clean sheet and we go again."
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
AUM opened the scoring in the 32nd minute when Fabio Guerreiro converted a penalty kick at the 31:32 mark to give the Warhawks a 1-0 advantage.
 
The Warhawks carried the one-goal lead into halftime after limiting the Badgers to just two shots in the opening 45 minutes.
 
Second Half
AUM doubled its lead in the 64th minute when Jaden McKree deflected a Badgers goal kick, setting up Sean O'Donnell, who found the back of the net at 63:50.
 
The Warhawks added another goal in the 76th minute when Brennan Greer converted Harrington Arnette's throw-in into the box at 75:28.
 
AUM's defense held strong throughout the remainder of the match, securing its second consecutive clean sheet.

• AUM outshot Spring Hill 16-4 and recorded 10 shots on goal.
• Jakob Buhrkuhl made two saves to record his third shutout of the season.
• Fabio Guerreiro and Brennan Greer each scored their first goal as a Warhawk today.
