MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Junior outside hitter Chelsea Daffin of the Auburn University at Montgomery volleyball team has been named Warhawk of the Week, as announced by the AUM Athletics Department, Wednesday morning.
Daffin's Performance
Chelsea Daffin turned in an impressive opening weekend at the Union Volleyball Classic, helping the Warhawks open the 2026 season with a 2-2 record.
Daffin was a consistent offensive and defensive presence throughout the tournament, recording 60 kills, 40 digs, 11 assists, one service ace and four total blocks across 19 sets. She averaged 3.16 kills and 2.11 digs per set while totaling 63 points on the weekend.
She opened the season with a strong all-around performance in AUM's thrilling five-set comeback victory over Tusculum, recording 15 kills, seven digs and three assists as the Warhawks rallied from an 0-2 deficit to earn a 3-2 (18-25, 15-25, 26-24, 25-23, 16-14) reverse-sweep victory. The win marked head coach Breylee Linder's first victory at the helm of the Warhawks.
Daffin followed with another 15-kill performance against Union, hitting .429 while adding seven assists and nine digs. She then posted 15 kills, 11 digs and two blocks against Upper Iowa before closing the tournament with another 15-kill effort against Lane, adding 13 digs and two blocks to help AUM earn its second win of the weekend.
With 15 kills in each of her four matches, Daffin consistently provided an offensive spark for the Warhawks while contributing across multiple areas of the court. Her performance throughout the Union Volleyball Classic earned her a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
