PRIOR TO AUM: Played baseball at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Andalusia, Alabama prior to coming to AUM...hit .292 in his career for the Saints.

PREP: Prepped at New Brockton High School in New Brockton, Alabama...played three seasons of baseball for head coach Brad Batton...also played three seasons of football for the Gamecocks.

PERSONAL: Son of Darren and Kimberly Phillips...his dad, Darren, played baseball at Wallace Dothan Community College...majoring in special education.
