Personal: Was born on April 22, 1999 … is the son of Willie and Onita Thornton … is the nephew of Lou Thornton, who played professional baseball for both the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Mets from 1985-1990 … his uncle, Eric Thornton, played collegiately at Faulkner University, and in the New York Mets organization … is majoring in environmental science, and minoring in biology.
