2024: Played in 42 games and made 34 starts, mainly at shortstop, for the Warhawks...posted 29 hits, four doubles, and 18 RBIs...scored 21 runs, walked nine times, and drew a trio of HBPs...stole seven bases in eight tries...important part of an AUM squad that set Division II-era program records for total wins (32) and conference wins (20)…helped AUM win seven games against opponents ranked or receiving votes in national polls…also helped the Warhawks grab their first-ever GSC tournament win and first-ever berth into the NCAA South Region tournament...helped AUM defeat Savannah State in 10 innings to notch the program's first NCAA South Region tournament win...also helped lead the squad to the program's highest-ever ranking in the ABCA Top 30 poll (No. 21) and its highest-ever ranking in the NCBWA South Region Poll (4th).

PRIOR TO AUM: Played two seasons at Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama...earned a pair of NJCAA Academic Honor Roll selections (2022 and 2023)...hit .316 in 93 career games for the Tigers...started 47 games in 2022 and posted a .321 Batting Average, .342 OBP, .372 SLG, 44 hits (five doubles, one triple), and 22 RBIs...started 46 games in 2023 and hit .311 with a .376 OBP, .363 SGL, 42 hits (seven doubles), and 16 runs batted in.

PREP: Played baseball and football at Hillcrest High School...was part of two 6A State semifinalist teams in 2018 and 2019 for the Patriots...hit .315 with 40 hits (eight doubles and two triples), 29 runs driven in, and six stolen bases in his senior season.

PERSONAL: Son of Rusty and Dlyn Tunnell...has one sister, Jillian...majoring in exercise science.
