Prep: Was a three-sport letterwinner at Piedmont High School in Piedmont, Ala. … earned four letters in baseball, basketball and football for the Bulldogs … helped PHS to a 29-11 record and an appearance in the AHSAA Class 3A State Championship series … recorded a .365 batting average and drove in 28 runs during his senior season … earned all-region and second-team all-state honors as a senior … was also a four-time all-county selection … led the Bulldogs to the 2009 AHSAA Class 3A State Championship in football … earned all-county and all-area honors in football and basketball.
