2024: Posted a 4-4 overall record in 18 appearances...made nine starts, turned in a complete game, and notched one save...earned a Second Team All-GSC spot...struck out 41 batters against 26 walks in 66 total innings...logged seven appearances allowing one earned run or less...worked a complete game in a win over Spring Hill, with four strikeouts and two runs allowed in seven frames...key part of an AUM squad that set Division II-era program records for total wins (32) and conference wins (20)…helped AUM win seven games against opponents ranked or receiving votes in national polls…also helped the Warhawks grab their first-ever GSC tournament win and first-ever berth into the NCAA South Region tournament...helped AUM defeat Savannah State in 10 innings to notch the program's first NCAA South Region tournament win...also helped lead the squad to the program's highest-ever ranking in the ABCA Top 30 poll (No. 21) and its highest-ever ranking in the NCBWA South Region Poll (4th).

PRIOR TO AUM: Played two seasons at Central Alabama Community College...posted a 10-4 career record with five complete games in 20 games started...made 23 total appearances...logged 110 innings and struck out 110 batters against 40 walks...had a career 3.85 ERA.

PREP: Played baseball and basketball at Benjamin Russell High School...played baseball for Richie Brooks...was selected to the North/South All-Star Game, was an All-State selection, and was selected for the ALABCA Showcase.

PERSONAL: Son of Terry and Karen Slaten...has one older brother, Edward...father, Terry, played baseball at AUM from 1990-1992, and his grandfather, Edward, played basketball at North Florida Junior College from 1963-1965...majoring in special education.
