On July 30, 2021, head tennis coach Yair Banuelos, along with Director of Athletics Jessie Rosa has announced the hiring of former AUM Tennis standout Francisco Jimenez as a graduate assistant with the tennis program. 

"Francisco was a good player who has experienced all the ups and downs in the last four years," said head coach Yair Banuelos. "I believe Francisco will be a great help to the coaching staff as he knows exactly what it takes to be successful in our league."

The Venezuela native tallied more than 20 career victories in both singles and doubles action. He was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete multiple times during his career and aided the men's tennis team to their first-ever Gulf South Conference tournament victory.

I am very grateful with coach Banuelos and the Athletics department for this opportunity to keep helping AUM tennis in another role," said Jimenez. "Both teams are very strong and ready to compete for everything this year."
