Vesanen begins his second season as a graduate assistant men's and women's tennis coach at AUM in the 2025 season.
He helped lead the AUM women's program to their first GSC Tournament Championship with a 4-3 victory against Mississippi College to punch a ticket to the NCAA Division II South Regionals.
On the men's side he helped the program lock in the No. 3 seed in the GSC Tournament, before falling in the opening round. The men's team was ranked as high as No. 8 in the NCAA Division II South Regional Rankings.
He joined the Warhawks from the University of West Alabama after playing for five seasons where he played on the No. 1 court for three consecutive seasons, All-GSC First Team in 2019 and 2022, and was named GSC Freshman of the Year in 2019.
Vesanen is originally from Finland and has served as a assistant tennis coach at tennis clubs across Finland and Portugal.
He is currently working towards earning his MBA in Montgomery.
