MONTGOMERY, Ala. ----- Trevecca Nazarene hit 10-of-16 3-pointers in the second half and erased a halftime deficit, as it upended the Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team 85-78 Wednesday evening at the AUM Gymnasium.

• The Warhawks fell to 5-17 on the season.
• The Trojans improved to 7-15 overall.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
•
Romoane Eager finished with 21 points and seven rebounds in the contest.
•
Desmond DeRamus provided a strong stat line of 18 points, eight assists, six rebounds, four steals and a block.
•
Jarett Croff posted his second straight double-double, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while adding four blocks, two steals and two assists.
•
Darrion Taylor contributed 12 points and four rebounds.
• Devin Whitfield led four TNU players in double figures with a game-high 22 points.
• Donovan Donaldson (21), Jacob Williams (21) and Percy Blade (11) also scored in double figures for the Trojans.
• Cameron Paulding recorded a game-best 13 rebounds, including seven offensive.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Trojans jumped out to a 7-3 lead in the opening 2:09, but the Warhawks rallied and took a 10-9 advantage with 14:57 left in the half following a jumper by Taylor.
• AUM upped its advantage to a game-high six points, 21-15, with 9:16 remaining following a trey by Eager.
• The Warhawks held a five-point advantage, 34-29, following a dunk by DeRamus with 2:49 remaining, but the Trojans responded with six straight points and took a 35-34 lead with 1:25 left. However, AUM secured a 38-37 halftime lead.
• The Trojans opened the second half with a 3-point barrage, hitting treys on three consecutive possessions to key a 13-3 run to start the period. TNU hit seven of its first nine 3-pointers in the second half.
• Trevecca Nazarene took a game-high 11-point lead, 64-53, following a trey by Sebastian Petty with 12:13 remaining.
• The Warhawks chipped away at the deficit and cut the margin to two points, 66-64, following a three-point play DeRamus with 8:38 remaining.
• AUM closed to within one, 67-66, less than a minute later on a dunk by Eager, but the Trojans answered with five straight to up the advantage to six points, 72-66, with 7:02 left in the contest.
• The Warhawks countered with an 8-0 run, capped by a pair of Taylor 3-pointers and took a 74-72 lead with 5:50 to play.
• The Trojans took control of the game with a 10-0 run after surrendering the lead over the next 2:24 and led 82-74 with just 3:26 left to play.
• AUM trimmed the deficit to as few as four points, 82-78, on a
Kameron Hornbuckle layup with 3:01 remaining, before falling by the final seven-point margin.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Warhawks finished 30-of-71 from the field, good a 42.3 percent. AUM struggled from distance, hitting just 4-of-24, but made 14-of-19 free throws.
• The Trojans shot 40.9 percent from the floor, but upped the percentage to 48.3 percent (14-of-29) from behind the arc. TNU also converted 17-of-25 free throw attempts.
• The Warhawks forced 17 turnovers, which led to 22 points. AUM committed just 13 miscues, which led to 10 points for the Trojans.
• Trevecca Nazarene finished with a 48-39 advantage on the glass, including an 18-14 edge on the offensive end. AUM actually outscored the Trojans 14-13 in second-chance points.
• The Warhawks controlled the paint, outscoring Trevecca 46-22.
• The starting lineups for each team combined to score 149-of-163 points in the game. The Trojans' bench scored only eight points, while the Warhawks' bench scored just six.
