JACKSON, Miss. ---- The Auburn Montgomery men's tennis team rebounded from a disappointing loss on Thursday to pick up a 7-0 victory over Division I Jackson State Friday.
With the win, the Warhawks improved to 2-1 on the year, while the Tigers fell to 0-6 overall.
AUM earned the lone doubles point of the match by taking two of the three points in doubles play.
Vincent Dubosclard and
Birkir Gunnarsson cruised to a 6-2 victory at the top spot, while
Francisco Mendieta and
Alvaro Terron rolled to a 6-0 win at the second position.
In singles play, the Warhawks picked up straight-set victories at all six positions.
The Warhawks will return to action next Saturday, Feb. 18, when they travel to Aiken, S.C., to take on USC-Aiken at 10 a.m.
