CLEVELAND, Miss. ---- The No. 30 Auburn Montgomery women's tennis team cruised to a 5-0 victory over Delta State Friday.
 
The Warhawks improved to 12-3 on the season with the win, while the Statesmen fell to 4-10 overall.
 
AUM dropped just eight games during the doubles portion of the match to earn a quick 3-0 lead. At the top spot, Paula Diaz and Anna Rudolfova earned an 8-5 win, while Celine Lenertz and Kelly Southwood picked up an 8-3 victory at the No. 2 position. Alejandra Gil and Iris Verweij capped the sweep with an 8-0 shutout at the third spot.
 
In singles, Southwood and Gil each rolled to straight-set victories to clinch the match. The duo combined to drop just three games in the two matches.
 
The Warhawks will return to action on Tuesday, March 28, when they host Mississippi College at 1:30 p.m.
