Men’s Tennis Rolls Past Mississippi College, 8-1

MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- The Auburn Montgomery men's tennis team picked up an 8-1 victory over Mississippi College Tuesday, earning its fourth consecutive win in the process.
 
With the win, the Warhawks improved to 9-6 on the season, while the Choctaws fell to 8-5 overall.
 
In the doubles portion of the match, AUM took a 2-1 advantage following wins from the teams of Alvaro Terron and Francisco Mendieta at the No. 2 position, and Santiago Veglia and Matieas Destefanis at the No. 3 spot.
 
In singles, all six Warhawks won, with Destafanis and Veglia each securing wins in a third set. Vincent Dubosclard, Birkir Gunnarsson, Mendieta and Terron were all straight-set winners.
 
The Warhawks will return to action on Wednesday, March 29, when they host Cumberland at 2 p.m. on Senior Day.
