MONTGOMERY, Ala. ----- Finishing a triple shy of the cycle,
Trevor Flynn had his best offensive showing as a member of the AUM baseball team in a win over the University of Alabama in Huntsville on Wednesday evening. The final score when it was all said and done was 12-6.
NOTES
• Auburn Montgomery moved to 14-16.
• The Chargers fell to 14-16.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Flynn registered his second double of the season in the first inning, along with a double and home run in the contest. In addition to his two runs batted in, he scored four runs for the Warhawks.

Curtiss Johnson knocked two doubles.

Nathan Langley singled and drove in two runs.
• Junior
Donovan Chandler singled, walked, drove in a run, scored twice and a stole a base.

Michael Tedford singled twice, scored twice and had an RBI.

John-Mark Cosby singled twice and drove in a run.
• Bryant Hackett and Jay Copeland each had three hits for the Chargers.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• With two outs in the bottom of the first, Flynn sent a liner into left field. The ball got caught in the sun and the Warhawks had a two-out double to start a rally. The next hitter, Langley singled up the middle to score Flynn and the Warhawks led 1-0. After Langley swiped second, Cosby singled through the right side of the infield to double the AUM lead.
• Mathis led off the top of the second with a double for UAH, and scored two batters later on a sacrifice fly to cut the Warhawk lead in half.
• Johnson led off the bottom of the fourth with a double for AUM, trying to add on to the lead. After
Trey Matherson moved him over with a groundball to the right side,
Houston Davenport hit a ball to second that scored Johnson and the Warhawks led 3-1.
• In the next half, the Chargers registered back to back singles to begin the inning. With two outs in the inning, Walden singled to push the score to 3-2.
• Flynn reached in the bottom of the fifth on a walk with one out in the inning and scored two batters later on a batted ball from Cosby that the third baseman overthrew to first. AUM led 4-2.
• Hackett singled in Copeland in the top of the sixth to bring the Chargers back within one.
• A sacrifice bunt by Flynn, plus a throwing error by the Charger pitcher netted the Warhawks two runs in the bottom of the seventh. With one out, Langley flied out to right field, scoring Flynn and the Warhawks led 7-3 through seven innings.
• UAH struck back for three runs in the next half on four hits to bring the score back within one, 7-6.
• AUM erupted for five in the bottom of the eighth to seal the deal, hallmarked by the two-run bomb by Flynn. The Warhawks defeated the Chargers with a final of 12-6.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Warhawks left just five runners on base. The Chargers stranded 11 on the base paths.
• UAH had four errors. AUM had two defensive miscues.

• The Warhawks will return to action on Friday, March 31 when they will host Talladega College in twin bill beginning at 3 p.m.
