JACKSON, Tenn. – Three players scored in double figures for the Auburn Montgomery women's basketball team on Thursday, Dec. 13 at Union University, including 22 from freshman
Jordan Brewster, but it was not enough as the Warhawks fell 88-57 to the number-one ranked Lady Bulldogs in Gulf South Conference action.

Evelina Avleeva (11) all scored in double figures for the Warhawks on the night, marking for the first time this season that AUM saw a trio of players reach double-digits in point totals.

Standout Performers
- Brewster's 22-point performance led all players in the game, while marking for her second-consecutive 22-point game. The freshman guard also led AUM with a career-high eight rebounds, while knocking down a career-high six three-pointers.
- Morales's 12 points also marked for her career high as a Warhawk. The junior forward also distributed a season-high four assists and pulled down four rebounds.
- Avleeva's 11 points marked for her second-straight double-digit scoring game, and third of the season. The senior forward also logged a team-high two steals and grabbed four rebounds.

Bailee Wolfe added six points off of the bench for AUM, while also accounting for three rebounds.
How it Happened
- The Lady Bulldogs opened up the game on a 13-4 scoring run through the first two and a half minutes of play.
- The Warhawks would respond, however, with a 10-5 scoring run to pull the game to within four points at 18-14 on a three-pointer by Brewster at the 3:47 mark.
- Union would go on to finish off the quarter on a 6-0 run to lead 24-14 through the first 10 minutes of action.
- Quarter number two saw Union settle in quickly, with a 15-3 scoring run over the first five minutes and change to extend their lead to 39-17 with 4:15 left in the second period.
- AUM would respond by scoring nine of the quarters final 11 points over the final three and a half minutes, including a pair of free throws from Avleeva to bring AUM's deficit to 41-28 in the final minute of the half.
- The third quarter saw AUM tally 14 points for the third time in the game, while shooting a game-high 50 percent from the floor in the 10-minute increment. A successful jumper by Brewster brought AUM to within 14 at 51-37 with 4:39 in the quarter, but a 10-5 scoring run from Union helped them extend their lead to 62-41 at period's end.
- The Warhawks amassed their highest quarterly point total in the fourth, with 15 points on a 6-12 effort from the floor in the quarter. Union finished off the game on a 19-9 scoring run in the final 6:29 to give way to the 88-57 final.

Sean Page said. "Overall, I am proud of our effort. They are the number one team in the country for a reason. They are the national benchmark for Division-II women's basketball programs, and a good example of what we want our program to look like."

- AUM shot a season-high 41 percent (23-55) from the floor on the evening, while shooting 35 percent (6-17) from beyond the arc.
- The Warhawks scored a season-high 28 points in the paint, with 12 of their points coming off of the bench, and 10 points coming off of Union turnovers.
- Brewster, Morales and Avleeva combined for 45 of the Warhawk's 57 points.
