LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The No. 22 ranked Auburn Montgomery men's tennis team dropped their first Gulf South Conference match of the season on Friday, falling to league foe West Alabama at the Vaughan Tennis Complex on the campus of the Tigers.

• AUM falls to 2-2 on the year with a 2-1 mark in GSC play.
• UWA improves to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in league action.
• The win for the Tigers avenges a 9-0 defeat at the hands of the Warhawks last season.

• No. 4 Singles:
Santiago Veglia defeated Erik Nordblom 7-6, 2-6, 10-8.
• No. 5 Singles: Andrii Stratiienko defeated
Giovanni Bellio 6-3, 7-3.
• No. 6 Singles: Henrik Sinkko won by default.
• No. 1 Doubles: Kaverinen and Holthey defeated Jiminez and Terron 8-4.
• No. 2 Doubles: Veglia and Straker-Meads defeated Strattiienko and Sinkko 9-7.
• No. 3 Doubles: Fernandez and Anton Loff won by default.
UP NEXT
Both squads will play Augusta University in a dual match on Monday. The match is set to begin at noon on the campus of the Jaguars.
