MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's tennis team began the
Yair Banuelos era with a victory over Gulf South Conference foe Christian Brothers, earning a 7-2 win on Saturday morning at the AUM Tennis Complex.
NOTES
• AUM improves to 1-0 on the season while CBU falls to 0-1.
• The Warhawks opened the season with a victory for the second year in a row.
• AUM forfeited the No. 3 doubles and the No. 6 singles matches.

Alvaro Terron earned victories in No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles.

• No. 1 Doubles: The team of Terron and
Francisco Jimenez defeated Atilio Flores and Andres Calzacorta, 8-3.
• No. 2 Doubles: The team of Straker-Meads and
Santiago Veglia defeated Lorenzo Maccarini and Javier Saez, 8-0.
• No. 3 Doubles: CBU wins by default.
• No. 1 Singles: Terron defeats Flores, 6-1, 6-2.
• No. 2 Singles: Straker-Meads defeats Maccarini, 6-3, 6-4.
• No. 3 Singles: Jimenez defeats Saez, 6-3, 6-1.
• No. 4 Singles: Veglia defeats Calzacorta, 6-3, 6-2
