#22 Warhawks Snap Two-Match Skid With 7-2 Victory Over Queens College

ORLANDO, Fla. – After dropping two consecutive matches over two days the #22 Auburn Montgomery men's tennis team earned a 7-2 victory over Queens College (N.Y.) on Thursday afternoon, wrapping up their four match road trip with an overall record of 2-2.
 
MATCH NOTES
• AUM improves to 5-5 on the year.
• QC falls to 11-1 on the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• No. 1 Singles: Alvaro Terron defeated Gabriel Mendez 6-3, 6-4.
• No. 2 Singles: #50 Eban Straker-Meads defeated Cosme Jubera 6-1, 6-2.
• No. 3 Singles: Francisco Jimenez defeated Roman Laga 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-0.
• No. 4 Singles: Santiago Veglia defeated Richard Sec 6-0, 6-4.
• No. 5 Singles: Giovanni Bellio defeated Jose Zurro 5-7, 4-2, retired
• No. 6 Singles: Lucas Martinez won by default.
 
• No. 1 Doubles: Jimenez and Terron defeated Mendez and Laga 8-1.
• No. 2 Doubles: Straker-Meads and Veglia defeated Jubera and Martinez 8-0
• No. 3 Doubles: Camilio Arias and Sec won by default.

SINGLES – 6, 1, 2, 4, 3, 5
DOUBLES – 3, 2, 1
 
UP NEXT
The Warhawks will be back in action on Friday, March 23 when they host Gulf South Conference foe Delta State at the AUM Tennis Complex beginning at 1 p.m.
