Jack Moore Named Graduate Assistant For Men’s Soccer

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Auburn Montgomery men's soccer head coach Wulf Koch has announced the addition Jack Moore as a graduate assistant coach for the program, it was announced Monday.
 
"Jack is going to come in with the sole responsibility to train our goalkeepers," said Koch. "Last year was an extreme disappointment for all of us so my emphasis this year was to find a coach that is very capable of training goalkeepers, making them better and develop them and I think we've found that guy with Jack."
 
Moore, a native of Lewisham, London, England, comes to AUM after spending the past two years as a volunteer assistant coach at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas, while also serving as the goalkeeper coach for the San Antonio North Texas Soccer Club.
 
He spent two seasons as a player for St. Mary's and head coach Matt Barnes before becoming a member of Barnes' staff. While playing for the Rattlers he started 25 of the 27 games he played in, recording 120 career saves and five shutouts. A team captain, Moore led the Heartland Conference in saves his senior season, earning a spot on the Heartland Conference Honor Roll as well.
 
Prior to is arrival at St. Mary's Moore spent a season at Los Angeles Harbor College where he started 13 games, tallying 56 saves and three shutouts while also playing football for the Seahawks. He was a team captain his sophomore year and was named an All-American Scholar for his efforts in the classroom.
 
During his time in Los Angeles, Moore worked with the Impact Goalkeeping Academy, coordinating camps and organizing coaching sessions. He assisted coaching the LA Galaxy pre-academy goalkeepers while working with Impact.
 
Moore spent his freshman year at the University of West Alabama, where he was a Gulf South Conference All-Conference First Team selection. He tallied 46 saves in 14 contests tallying four shutouts for the Tigers.
 
"He's (Moore) played in the U.S., he's played at a high level in England," added Koch. "He's eager and he wants to make coaching his profession when he leaves here. He'll be a great addition to the staff, a great addition to the men's soccer program and a great addition to AUM as a university."
 
Moore earned an Associates Degree in Kinesiology from LAHC in 2015 before earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from St. Mary's in 2017.
