MONTGOMERY, Ala. – A week after dropping out of the ITA/Oracle National Rankings the Auburn Montgomery men's tennis team defeated #35 Delta State University 6-3 in a Gulf South Conference match at the AUM Tennis Complex on Friday afternoon.

• AUM improves to 6-5 on the year with a 4-2 mark in the GSC
• The Statesmen fall to 8-2 overall and 5-1 in league play.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• No. 1 Singles: #35 Alvaro Terron defeated #56 Emile LeTerrier 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.
• No. 2 Singles: #40 Eban Straker-Meads defeated Hugo Stroppiana 6-1, 6-3.
• No. 3 Singles: Francisco Jimenez defeated Mason Vice 6-0, 6-2.
• No. 4 Singles: Santiago Veglia defeated Stedman Strickland 6-2, 6-2.
• No. 5 Singles: Giovanni Bellio defeated Joao Yamacita 3-6, 6-3, 10-5.
• No. 6 Singles: Breno Goncalves won by default.
 
• No. 1 Doubles: LeTerrier and Stroppiana defeated Jimenez and Terron 8-3.
• No. 2 Doubles: Straker-Meads and Veglia defeated Vice and Yamacita 8-3.
• No. 3 Doubles: Timo Schmitz and Strickland won by default.

UP NEXT
