CLEVELAND, Miss. – The Auburn Montgomery softball team won its first series as a member of the Gulf South Conference on Sunday afternoon at University Field, defeating league foe Delta State 3-0 to take the series 2-1 as pitcher Chanel Newcomer pitched a complete game two-hitter with a career-high seven strikeouts to her credit.
