LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery volleyball dropped a 3-0 decision to Gulf South Conference foe West Alabama on Friday evening, falling 25-17, 25-20, 25-21 on the road to the Tigers in league action.
NOTES
• AUM falls to 8-4 on the season and 0-2 in the GSC.
• UWA improves to 8-3 this year and 2-0 in league play.
• The Warhawks have now dropped two in a row after starting the season 8-2.
• AUM is now 0-2 lifetime against the Tigers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Warhawks started the first set on a 4-1 run before UWA was able to come back and tie the game at 7-7. The Tigers were able to take a small lead before a kill by Rhea tied the set at 10-10. The Tigers then went on a 4-0 run before AUM responded with another 4-1 run capped off by a kill by Garvin. However, with UWA holding a 17-16 lead the Tigers were able finish off the set on an 8-1 run to take the first set 25-17.
• The second set saw UWA almost double up the Warhawks, going up 20-11. AUM was able to go on a 9-2 run to pull to within 24-20, but the Tigers' Jamie Lancellot recorded the set's final kill to give UWA a 2-0 match lead.
• After a short intermission the two teams came out and battled to a 7-7 tie, with Rhea providing the tying point for AUM. However, the Tigers used a 7-1 run to take a 14-8 lead before

Tynesha McWilliams combined for a block to halt the rally. AUM scored four quick points to cut the advantage to 14-12 but UWA responded with a small run of their own. Down 21-16 the Warhawks battled back to cut the UWA lead to 21-20, forcing the Tigers to take a timeout. UWA would respond out of the break, finishing the set on a 5-1 run to take the game 25-21 and the match 3-0.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
• The match featured nine tie scores and one lead change.
• AUM hit for a .123 clip while UWA recorded a .279 hitting percentage.
• The Tigers tallied 42 kills to AUM's 24. The 24 kills were the second lowest kill total this season for the Orange & Black.

The Warhawks will travel to Clinton, Miss., to take on GSC foe Mississippi College in a match set to begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
