TROY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery men's tennis team took on Troy University on Friday afternoon in an exhibition match before their 2019 campaign begins, falling to the Trojans 6-1 at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
Sophomore
Eban Straker-Meads played in the No. 1 position for the Warhawks, picking up a victory over Troy's Oskar Michalek, 6-2, 6-3. Straker-Meads also teamed up with newcomer
Jose Garcia to win a No. 2 doubles match over Jiaqi Duan and Pelayo Antuna, 6-4.
However, the Trojans won two doubles matches to take the doubles point and then took the No. 2-6 singles matches to earn the 6-1 victory.

UP NEXT
AUM will open the 2019 season on Friday, Feb. 1, when the Warhawks welcome Middle Georgia State to campus to take part in a dual match with the two women's programs. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m. at the AUM Tennis Complex.
