About the Warhawks
AUM will look to rebound after dropping two games in a quick two-game swing through Georgia to GSC opponents West Georgia and Valdosta State over the weekend.
Brianna Yurkovich continues to lead the Warhawks in minutes during her first collegiate season. The freshman defender has played 536 minutes for AUM, which is 80 minutes more than
Allison Singleterry, who is second on the team.
Milian Mollison will look to stay aggressive in the offensive zone for the Orange & Black. The Conyers, Ga., native is currently second on the team in points (3) and has registered nine shots in 2019.
Gaby Walker and
Rachel Reed earned their first starts of the season over the weekend against the Wolves and Blazers. Both players were able to net over 150 minutes played in their initial games for the Warhawks.
AUM's meeting with the Badgers and Argos will be the final games in a four-game road trip. After the weekend, the Warhawks will begin a three-game homestand against GSC opponents Alabama Huntsville, West Alabama and Montevallo.
About the Badgers
Spring Hill (1-5) is coming off back-to-back losses to GSC foes Union and Christian Brothers. The Badgers were outscored 9-1 in their Tennessee road swing. Spring Hill's lone victory of the season came on Sept. 14, a 2-1 win at Georgia Southwestern State.
The Badgers currently sit in 12
th place in the Gulf South Conference, with a 1-5 record overall and a 0-2 mark in conference play. Spring Hill has dropped all three home games this season and boasts a 1-2 road record.
Sidney Spivey is tied with five of her teammates with two points on the season, but Spivey's nine shots (four on goal) leads the Badgers in both categories.
Spring Hill has gone to two different keepers in 2019, Riley Grace has split time equally with Kira Babiarz. Both goalies have tallied 15 saves this season, though Babiarz has better metrics with a .652 SV% and has allowed 2.67 goals per game.
AUM has dominated the series with the Badgers, taking seven of 10 games played to earn a 7-1-1 record. Spring Hill has not defeated the Warhawks since 2003, a 1-0 win.
About the Argos
West Florida (4-2) is coming off a 1-1 road trip in which they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Christian Brothers but followed up the loss with a 2-0 bounce-back win against Union on Sunday.
The Argos will play Montevallo before they host AUM on Sunday. West Florida has a 3-0 record when playing at the UWF Soccer Complex, but has a losing 1-2 record when playing on the road.
Annie Rolf is currently pacing the Argos in points this season with eight and sits 11
th best in the conference in this category. Rolf is tied for the team lead in goals with three and has also added two assists in 2019.
Esthefanny Barreras has played and started all six games in goal for West Florida this season, posting a .667 SV% and has allowed less than a goal per game.
West Florida and AUM have played in three contests all-time, with the most recent meeting coming last year, a 6-2 win for the Argos. UWF holds an all-time record of 3-0 against the Warhawks.
