HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --- The Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team held number-11 ranked Alabama-Huntsville to just 68 points, but shot a season-low 32 percent from the floor in their 68-54 loss to the Chargers in Gulf South Conference play on Monday, Nov. 25.
With the loss, AUM's record breaks even at 4-4 on the year, and 1-1 in GSC competition.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Carlos Bell led all Warhawks with 14 points scored, while finishing one rebound shy of a double-double at nine. Bell also added three steals, two blocks and an assist.

Maharrith Jackson tallied double-digit points for the third-straight game and sixth time this season, with a 13-point, seven-rebound performance.

Stanley Davis represented the third Warhawk to score double-digit points, with 12 points on a 4-9 shooting night from beyond the arc.

Aaron Reddick pulled down nine rebounds for the Orange and Black, while also scoring four points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Warhawks jumped out to a 10-6 lead over the game's first five minutes, with a pair of Davis three's accounting for six of those 10.
- The next five minutes would see UAH cut AUM's lead to one possession, with the Warhawks up 14-13 with 11 minutes left in the first.
- After seeing the Chargers tie the score up at 17-all at the 8:10 mark, AUM would score five quick unanswered to go up 22-17 with 7:21 to go until halftime.
- UAH would respond with a 15-1 run to close out the first half, however, to lead 32-23 at the break.
- The Warhawks would score the first five points of the second half unanswered to trim their deficit to just four at 32-28 with 18:17 to go.
- UAH would score the next seven unanswered, however, to lead 39-28 at the 16:25 mark.
- Both teams would score 11 points each over the next six and a half minutes, with the Chargers on top 48-40 with 9:52 left.
- The Chargers would go on to break open the game with a 17-8 run over the next seven and a half minutes to lead 65-48 with 2:13 left, before giving way to the 68-54 final score.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- AUM followed up a 28-percent (9-32) shooting performance in the first half with a 38-percent (10-26) efficiency on field goals in the second half, to finish at just under 33 percent (19-58) for the evening.
- The Warhawks shot just 22 percent (5-22) from downtown and 52 percent (11-21) from the free throw line in the contest.
- AUM scored 24 points in the paint, to go along with seven points off of UAH turnovers and seven bench points.
- For just the third time this season, AUM lost the rebounding battle, with UAH hauling in 41 compared to the Warhawks 38.
- Monday night's game saw 12 lead changes, and two tied scores.

- The Warhawks will return to the court on Friday, Nov. 29 for game one of the Kentucky Wesleyan Thanksgiving Classic in Owensboro, Ky., where they will take on Tiffin University at 5:30 p.m.
