OWENSBORO, Ky. --- The Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team shot 56 percent from the field, and allowed a season-low 63 points in their 81-63 win over host school Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday, Nov. 30 on the final day of the Kentucky Wesleyan Thanksgiving Classic.
NOTEWORTHY
- The win improves AUM's record to 6-4, and ups their all-time advantage over Kentucky Wesleyan to 2-1.
- Saturday's victory marked for the second-straight contest in which the Warhawks shot above 50 percent on field goals.
- The Warhawks converted on a season-best 57 percent (12-21) of their three-pointers in the game.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Carlos Bell notched his second-consecutive double-double with a 17-point, 10-assist performance. Bell's 10 assists marked for a new career high for the senior forward/guard.

Stanley Davis knocked down a career-high six three-point shots, to finish with a team-high 21 points, four rebounds and two assists.

Darrion Taylor logged 11 points and four assists, while
Jeremiah Bozeman added 10 points and three boards.

Maharrith Jackson pulled down a team-high six rebounds for AUM, to go along with two points and two assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Warhawks opened up the game with an 11-9 lead over the first five and a half minutes, and would score six more points unanswered to go up 17-9 with 13:01 to go in the first.
- The Panthers would score the next nine points unanswered, however, to reclaim the lead at 18-17 with 9:15 to go in the half.
- AUM would respond, though, by rattling off a monster 16-3 run over the next seven and a half minutes to lead 33-21 with 1:52 to go in the first. The Warhawks would take a 35-26 lead into the break.
- A Davis three-pointer at the 14:52 mark in the second half put the Warhawks back up by double digits, but a quick 9-2 run by the Panthers would see them trail AUM by just five points at 47-42 with 11:30 to go.
- AUM would respond right away, however, with an 11-4 run over the next four minutes to go up 58-46 with 7:14 left in the game.
- The Warhawks would hold onto their double-digit lead for the remainder of the game, while scoring 10 of the game's final 12 points to cap off an 81-63 win.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- The Warhawk offense got better as the game went on, shooting 54 percent (13-24) in the first half, and 57 percent in the second (15-26), to finish at 56 percent (28-50) for the afternoon.
- The Orange and Black dished out 20 assists for the fourth time this season, with four players recording at least two in the contest.
- AUM scored 24 points off of their bench, 23 points off Panther turnovers, 20 points in the paint, and 14 fast break points.

- The Warhawks will be back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 3 when they take on Division-I opponent Samford University at 6:30 p.m. from Birmingham, Ala.
