MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- In an epic back-and-forth game, the Auburn Montgomery's baseball team used a four-run eighth inning to propel them to a 7-5 comeback win over Gulf South Conference foe West Florida on Saturday, Feb. 23.
NOTES
- The Warhawks improve to 8-4 on the season and jump out to a 3-1 record in GSC play

West Florida drops to 6-6 on the year, with a 3-1 mark in conference play.
- Seven starters for AUM registered at least one hit, with three notching multi-hit games.
- The Warhawk bullpen combined to throw 7.1 innings and gave up just six hits.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Quinterrious Arrington set the tone on offense for AUM on Saturday, going 3-5 out of the leadoff spot. Arrington also drove in and scored a run.

Casey Henderson came through in the clutch in the eighth inning, driving home the go-ahead run, and went 1-3 with a walk.

West Florida's Robert Lopez had a two-hit evening, including a two-run home run in the losing effort.

Todd Burkett proved to be pivotal out of the bullpen, throwing 4.1 innings and allowed just two hits and one run.

Neither starter was able to make it out of the fifth inning with Micah Henderson and Jared Hatch both pitchers combining to throw just 6.1 innings.

Keegan Fairley (1-0) earned the win in relief, throwing three innings, allowing four hits and two runs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- West Florida jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after bringing home a run in both the first and second inning. Mike Farnell hit a two-out double in the first and was brought home by classmate Robert Lopez via an RBI single.
- An error-riddled second inning by the Warhawks led to the second run of the game scored by the Argos when Matt Sullivan hit a sac-fly that brought home Trevor Payne.
- Both teams were locked in a pitcher's duel until the bottom of the fifth after Henderson walked with one out, giving Zielonko a chance to launch a ball over the left-center field wall to tie the game at two.
- The Argos responded immediately in the top of the sixth when Lopez took T. Burkett deep to give West Florida a 3-2 lead.
- AUM came back with a run of their own in their next at-bat, when Zack Feaster found himself at second base after a walk and advancing to second on a fielders choice. With two outs, Henderson was able to find a hole up the middle to once again tie the game at three.
- The back and forth action would continue in the top of the seventh when a two-out error by the Warhawks allowed Matthew Jones to score, giving the Argos a one-run lead for the third time.
- The Warhawks would explode in the bottom of the eighth for four runs. Feaster would start the inning with a single up the middle, followed by an
Aaron Hill sacrifice bunt that moved the AUM leadoff hitter into scoring position.
- After an RBI double by Arrington to bring home the pinch runner

- The Argos would push back in the final frame, scoring once to make it a two-run game but failed to bring home the tying run from first base.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- AUM outhit West Florida in the contest, 12-10.
- West Florida was able to limit the errors to just one, while AUM recorded four mishaps.
- AUM was able to draw five walks against UWF, while the Argos managed just three free passes.

- The Warhawks will continue their three-game slate against West Florida on Sunday with a doubleheader. The first game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., with game two having a first pitch scheduled for 4.
