MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery softball swept a twin bill with Bryan College on Tuesday afternoon at the AUM Softball Complex, taking game one 10-1 in five innings before earning a 9-2 decision in game two against the Lions in non-conference play.
NOTES
• AUM improved to 15-4 on the season with a 10-3 mark in home games.
• BC falls to 2-6 this season with a 0-6 mark in road games.
• The Warhawks improve to 8-0 lifetime against the Lions.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
•
Michaelyn Foster picked up a pair of wins on the day, getting the start in game one and pitching in relief in game two to improve to 7-1 on the season.
• Junior slugger
Jaycie Walker went 3-for-5 on the day, with a two runs batted in and a run scored.
• Junior outfielder
Parker Pinholster went 2-for-3 with four runs scored, four walks and one RBI.
• Sophomore infielder
Kasidy Thompson hit her first home run of the season in game one, a two-RBI shot to left.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE
• The Lions struck first blood in the top of the first after Sydney Olander led off the game with a walk and then came around to score on a Heidi Smith double to right to give BC a 1-0 lead.
• AUM would get on the board in the bottom of the second when Thompson singled to left with runners at first and second to score a pair of runs, reaching second on an error by the Lions.
Jasmine Thompson would reach on an error and reach third base which allowed
Kasidy Thompson to score from second. Walker would then single up the middle to plate Jasmine and give the home team a 4-1 lead.

Morgan Duschell doubled to left to lead off the third and then was sacrificed over by
Gracie Harris to get to third. Catcher
Abby Krueger then hit a sac fly to left to plate Harris and put the Warhawks up 5-1.
Kasidy Thompson then hit her first digger of the season, a solo shot to right to give AUM a 6-1 advantage.
Jasmine Thompson then doubled and advanced to third on an outfield error before being brought home on another Walker single up the middle.
• With runners at second and third in the bottom of the fourth Harris singled to right to plate a pair of runs and give the Orange & Black a 9-1 lead. After reaching second on an error Harris came around to score on another error by the Lions to go up 10-1.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE – GAME ONE
• AUM scored 10 runs on nine hits with no errors in the game.
• BC scored one run on one hit while committing six errors.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO
• Once again the Lions scored first in the contest, with designated player Austyn Durham blasting a solo home run to left to give the visitors a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
• Walker led off the bottom of the first with a double to right-center and then was sacrificed over to third on an
Olivia Aycock sac bunt. Pinholster reached on a throwing error which allowed Walker to score and tie the game at a run apiece. After Pinholster reached second and then stole third on consecutive plays, an errant throw by BC would allow her to score to give AUM a 2-1 lead.
• With runners at first and second
Hannah Dailey reached on an error by the defense with Aycock scoring on another BC error on the same play to give AUM a 3-1 advantage.
• The Lions loaded the bases in the top of the fourth for Allison Walker who drew a walk to pull her squad to within 3-2.
• The bottom of the fifth saw AUM plate four runs to extend their lead. With runners at first and second Pinholster singled down the leftfield line to score a run and put runners at second and third. Krueger laid down a picturesque bunt to score Aycock from third and advance Pinholster to third. Pinholster would score on a failed pickoff attempt to go up 6-2 with Krueger advancing to third. Dailey would ground out to third which allowed Krueger to score and give the home team a 7-2 lead.
• AUM added a pair of insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Brooke Perrigin led off the inning with a triple to left and then a ground out by Aycock scored Perrigin. Pinholster would walk and then steal second, getting driven in on a Krueger single to left.

• AUM scored nine runs on seven hits with no errors.
• BC scored two runs on four hits with another six errors.
